Pond Supplies for ponds as small as 1,000 gallons to acres in size can be confusing with all the different names of the supplies and what they are used for. From water clarity to eliminating muck and coloring the water to a pleasant natural blue.

The work horse for water clarity and muck reduction is Beneficial Pond Bacteria. These are the good bacteria’s that live in and around the pond naturally, but not in enough numbers to keep up with the ponds demands or needs in order to keep it clean and healthy. This is the reason for adding beneficial pond bacteria to help accelerate and stimulate the naturally occurring bacteria growth to consume suspended particles in the water column and to consume the smelly muck from the bottom of the pond.

Pond Dye is another pond supply that helps to enhance the color and depth of the pond water for a pleasant natural color instead of looking at a green, brown or unnatural colored water. Not to be used in very turbid or clay suspended water. One liquid quart of Super Concentrated Pond Dye treats a one acre pond. And coming soon is our Powder Dye Packets, Less mess and easy to apply, four, 4 ounce packets treats a one acre pond.

Along with the above pond supplies, adding a properly sized pond aeration system keeps the pond healthy for the inhabitant in and around the pond and safe for livestock and pets as well. With the additional oxygen infused into the pond from the diffusers at the bottom of the pond we now have oxygen from top to bottom which creates more livable habitat for the fish and the beneficial bacteria to thrive from top to bottom where the muck has built up.

One of our new supplies for the ponds is a All Natural Pond Phosphate Binder. This all-natural powder formulation will also buffer pH and provide approximately 70 beneficial trace minerals for fish health and assist beneficial bacteria. It will also provide minor flocculation (settling) of mud & clay particles, and aid in reducing ammonia. Will be available next season for small and large ponds.

Below is a list of the various pond supplies for the small and large ponds.
