  1. I’m looking for information on the comparative advantages/disadvatages of different aeration pump/blower types. I need some kind of primer on the topic… piston, linear, diaphram, regenerative blowers… on and on. What is most suitable for what? My specific interests relate to a half acre pond (depth 5′-10′) on the property I just bought, which I’d like to liven up a bit. We don’t have hard freezes here, but plenty of high 20’s in the winter and near 100’s in the summer.
    Thanks,
    Art

  2. I would like to know how this is supposed to work out.
If I pay for the “how to build a farm pond” $27.00 do you mail it to me or am I supposed to get it through the e-mails ? I’m a little hesitant about sending my credit card info. Can I send a check ?

ps -The pond will be about two and a half acres !

  3. Darrel, I have a small pond about 15 years old that leaks very badly. It fills up winter and spring. The pond is almost empty now, from 6 or 7 feet deep to about 1 foot. union city area. Jerry

  4. I have read that with the rubber membrane diffusers there is a check valve that prevents water from coming back into the diffuser. However if there is already water in the tubing can I hook up a diffuser or do I have to drain the whole line.
    Thank You

Hi Mike, You should drain the line. there could be small debris in the tubing and could possibly clog the diffuser (from the inside)as the water tries to escape out the tiny holes.Should be easy enough drain by turning on the compressor and letting the air push the water out.
